OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has seemingly confirmed name of its next smartphone in a Weibo post. Dubbed OnePlus X, the company has plans to launch the handset before end of this year and is likely to be out in time for the Christmas holidays.

In his Weibo post, Lau shared an image of 'X' letter marked on a map. While there is no denying that OnePlus CEO might be hinting at the official name of the upcoming "mini-variant", but there are chances that Lau might be creating hype ahead of launch.

In other news, OnePlus India has sent out invites for a Monday announcement. The invite confirms that Pete Lau, Founder and CEO, OnePlus and Vikas Agarwal, GM India, OnePlus will be present at the event. The invite titled "The Next Big Step" hints that the company may announce some India-specific partnerships.
