Redmi launched the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max in China in August, but the standard Redmi K100 was not introduced alongside them. Now, the Redmi K100 is said to be in the works as the latest addition to the company's K100 series. A new leak has now hinted at a launch timeline for the upcoming smartphone. It also reveals the battery capacity and chipset details of the phone. Redmi K100 is tipped to feature a high-refresh-rate display and audio tuned by Bose.

As per a Weibo post by tipster Smart Pikachu, the Redmi K100 will be launched in China at the end of October. The tipster also suggested that the smartphone will focus on battery life, display capabilities and audio quality. Previous reports claimed that the handset could arrive before the end of this year.

The upcoming Redmi K100 is said to feature a 10,000mAh battery. It could feature Bose-tuned audio and symmetrical dual speakers. It is said to retain the brand's "signature design". It could feature a high refresh rate display.

The Redmi K100 is likely to be placed below the Redmi K100 Pro in China. The Pro model launched with a price tag of CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 57,000) for the base variant featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The Redmi K100 Pro features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, while the Redmi K100 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen. Both phones deliver up to an 185Hz refresh rate. The duo has a triple rear camera setup comprising a 200-megapixel primary sensor. They have a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
