While there is still no confirmation on the India launch of the iPhone 6, Apple has now confirmed that it won't be in the second wave of iPhone launches that starts September 26. Apple plans to roll out the new iPhone devices to as many as 115 countries this year and this announcement confirms the company's intentions of a fast global roll-out.

Apple's websites for various countries show that the new phones will be launched in at least 18 countries on September 26 and 27. UAE appears to be the only country set to get the new iPhone devices on September 27, with at least 17 other countries getting it a day before. These countries are Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Turkey.

During the launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple had announced that it would start shipping the new iPhone devices in 10 countries on September 19. These countries are the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Coincidentally, September 26 (screenshot) happens to be the date on which Apple appears to have initially planned to launch the new iPhone devices in India. It later updated the Apple India website to change that date to October 17 and finally removed the date from the website, as NDTV Gadgets reported on Thursday.

That doesn't mean the launch of the iPhone 6 will be delayed in India. Apple doesn't usually reveal availability dates in India so far in advance. The company putting a launch date on its website came as a surprise to many
