Realme is one of the few brands that have been consistently launching smartphones in 2025. We have seen multiple updates to its P-series, Number series, GT series, and more. And now, the company is kicking off 2026 with a new Number series. The company has launched the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ smartphones in the country, promising some decent upgrades over its predecessors. This is also the first series from the company to receive flagship-level treatment, whether it be Samsung's 200MP ISOCELL HP5 sensor or a renewed design collaboration with Naoto Fukasawa.

Realme 16 Pro 5G mobile was launched on 6th January 2026. The phone comes with a 144 Hz refresh rate 6.75-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1,272x2,772 pixels. Realme 16 Pro 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max processor. It comes with 8GB, 12GB of RAM. The Realme 16 Pro 5G runs Android 16 and is powered by a 7,000mAh non-removable battery. The Realme 16 Pro 5G supports 80W Fast Charging fast charging.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme 16 Pro 5G on the rear packs a dual camera setup featuring a 200-megapixel (f/1.8) primary camera, and an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) camera. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 50-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.
The Realme 16 Pro 5G runs Realme UI 7.0 is based on Android 16 and packs 128GB, 256GB of inbuilt storage. The Realme 16 Pro 5G is a dual-SIM (GSM + CDMA and GSM + CDMA) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Realme 16 Pro 5G measures 162.60 x 77.60 x 7.80mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 192.00 grams. It was launched in Master Gold, Pebble Grey, and Orchid Purple colours. It features an IP69 rating for dust and water protection.
Connectivity options on the Realme 16 Pro 5G include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.40, 4G , and 5G with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, temperature sensor, and in-display fingerprint sensor.
