House of Marley Speakers, Headphones Launched Exclusively via Amazon India

It looks like 2014 is the year where major technology brands announce exclusive tie-ups with e-commerce websites for specific products. This time around, House of Marley has announced that its new collection of Bluetooth speakers and headphones will be made available exclusively on e-commerce giant Amazon's India website. The new collection includes Get Together and Liberate Bluetooth speakers, and Liberate XL over-the-ear headphones. Get Together and Liberate have a price tag of Rs. 19,990 and Rs. 7,990 respectively, whereas the Liberate headphones will be available for Rs. 9,990.

The Get Together Bluetooth speaker is made out of natural bamboo and fabric. It has dimensions of 12.7x40x8.3cm and weighs 2.7kg. It has 2x3.5-inch woofers and 2x1-inch tweeters. Apart from the Bluetooth connectivity, Get Together also provides a 3.5mm jack for auxiliary connectivity. House of Marley claims that the in-built lithium-ion battery can last 8 hours on a single charge.

On the other hand, the Liberate speaker has wood panelling on the back and is made of metal and a recycled fabric called 'Rewind'. Internally, the Liberate speaker has 4x1-inch tweeters and a battery life of 3 hours. The speaker has dimensions of 4.4x21.8x7.4cm and weighs 680g.

The Liberate XL headphones have 50mm drivers and feature a stainless steel design with generous dollops of wood. There is a tangle-free cable with a 3-button controller as well. It has a collapsible design for easy portability and the box includes a carry bag as well.

Commenting on the association with Amazon, Rohan Marley, son of music legend Bob Marley, the inspiration for the brand, says, "The House of Marley is not just about buying into a product but into a vibe. It is interesting to note that House of Marley products were already available in India via other e-commerce websites prior to this exclusive union with Amazon.
