Checkmate is a 2024 Malayalam suspense-thriller film directed by Ratish Sekhar and released on August 9, 2024. The movie stars Anoop Menon, Lal and Rekha Harindran in the lead roles. The story is about kidnapping, rivalry, corporate espionage and moral stand. The film talks about the story of a pharmaceutical CEO who faces allegations over a drug scandal. The movie progress like a game of chess, where characters who are both pawns and queens in the game.
The movie is all set to release on ZEE5 OTT platform on October 02, 2025. The movie will be available in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu languages.

When Kurian finds himself in a corner, who delives ino the city's shadowy alley to silence Anjali. On the other hand, a vulnerable widown named Vinay, in a quest of venegence works with a don. This creates a gripping tale of suspense and thriller.
