Airtel is one of the leading telecom operators in India. The telecom operator provides various recharge options, top-up vouchers, and unlimited plans to meet the specific requirements of its subscribers. However, consumers need to keep an eye on their existing plan balance and validity to stay within the given allocation of data and voice calling benefits. As an Airtel customer, you can easily check your current balance, remaining data allowance, and pack validity using various methods.

How to Check Airtel Data Balance

Any customer with an active prepaid plan can check their account details with or without internet connectivity. Feature phone users can simply dial Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) codes on their keypad. Meanwhile, smartphone users can download the Airtel Thanks app to view complete plan and account insights.

Using Airtel Thanks App

  1. Download the Airtel Thanks App via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store on your smartphone.
  2. On the login screen, enter your registered Airtel mobile number and enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your device to verify your identity.
  3. After a successful login, you will land on the main dashboard of the app, where you can see an overview of your account.
  4. Find and tap the "Manage" tab, which is typically located in the bottom navigation bar of the screen.
  5. Under the "Manage" tab, look for the data usage section. You will see detailed insights into your remaining data balance, daily usage limits, and the exact expiration date of your current plan.

Using the Airtel Website

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to the official Airtel website.
  2. Locate the login section, typically found in the top right corner of the homepage.
  3. Enter your registered Airtel mobile number into the designated field to initiate the login process.
  4. You will receive a one-time password (OTP) via SMS on your mobile device; enter this code on the website to verify your identity.
  5. Once verified, click 'Login' or 'Submit' to proceed to your personal account dashboard.
  6. After the dashboard loads, navigate to the 'Manage' or 'My Account' section to view your active plan details.
  7. You will see the remaining data balance, daily usage limits, current pack validity, and other available account balances like SMS and talk time.

Using USSD Code

  1. Open your phone's keypad or dialer app and enter the USSD code *121#.
  2. Press the call button to initiate the request and wait a few seconds for an interactive menu to appear as a flash message on your screen.
  3. Carefully follow the on-screen numerical prompts to navigate to the section labeled "Balance," "Data Info," or similar.
  4. Once you confirm your selection, your phone screen will display your remaining data balance, current plan validity, and other essential account details.

Using IVR Menu

  1. Open your mobile phone's dialer or keypad app.
  2. Dial '121' using your active Airtel mobile number to connect to the automated customer service system.
  3. Listen carefully to the recorded voice prompts presented by the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system to understand your navigation options.
  4. You can select the option to hold for a live Airtel customer care representative if you need further assistance.
  5. Once the appropriate selection is made, the system will announce your remaining data allowance, current plan validity, and other relevant account details.
