Apple has finally released the latest iteration of their Mac OSX, dubbed the Lion. Mac OSX Lion is available for download through the Mac app store for $29.99.
With Lion, Apple has introduced more than 250 new features, which include momentum-based gestures, Launchpad, mission control, full screen apps, resume and many more.
Most of these upgrades borrow functionality from Apple's mobile operating system, the iOS.
Previously, Apple had announced at their World Wide Developers conference that the operating system would be available in July.
Notably, the Mac OSX Lion is the first OS not to have a retail copy and will be only available as a 3.49GB direct download from the Mac apps store.
