The HTC Vive VR headset, first unveiled at MWC 2015, has got an official pre-order date - February 29. The Taiwanese tech giant has however remained tight-lipped on the price of the wearable, co-developed with Valve, since its first unveiling. Now, a report has tipped a price tag for the headset - $1,500 (roughly Rs. 1,00,200).

According to a report from a Taiwanese website Focus Taiwan, the HTC Vive VR headset might boast a price tag of $1,500 (roughly Rs. 1,00,200), which is nearly $1,000 more than that the $599 (roughly Rs. 40,000) price tag of its rival - Oculus Rift. The price tag has been estimated by 'foreign brokerages'. It has been said that the wearable device will be more costly than other headsets in the market because of its 'advanced spatial recognition features', along with wireless controllers. The consumer edition launch of the HTC Vive is scheduled for April this year.
