Leaked details of the phone have been doing rounds of the rumour mill in the past few weeks. Design renders of the smartphone have also been leaked. In a Weibo post, OnePlus claims that the upcoming OnePlus 12 will be the first smartphone in the world to be equipped with a DisplayMate A+ rated X1 “Oriental Screen” with a resolution of 2K and a peak brightness level of 2,600 nits. According to an ITHome report, the company claimed during a recent press conference that the "Oriental Screen" is backed by Oppo's first-generation Display P1 chip and holds 18 DisplayMate A+ records.

The rumoured triple rear camera unit of the OnePlus 12 could include a Sony IMX966 50-megapixel sensor, a 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide telephoto lens (said to be the Sony IMX581), and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor with 3x optical zoom and hybrid zoom camera.
