Poco C85 5G India Launch Date Announced; Key Specifications, Features Confirmed

Poco C85 5G will be launched in India in the second week of December, the company announced on Tuesday. This comes a day after the Chinese smartphone maker teased the handset's arrival in the country. Apart from the announcement, the tech firm has also revealed various key specifications of the upcoming smartphone, including its battery and charging support. Recently, a dedicated microsite for the phone on an e-commerce platform went live, confirming its availability. Moreover, the Xiaomi sub-brand has teased that its next C series phone will ship with a dual rear camera unit, housed inside a square camera module.

Poco C85 5G India Launch Date, Expected Specifications

The Xiaomi sub-brand has announced that it will launch the Poco C85 5G in India on December 9 at 12pm IST. As part of the launch date announcement, the tech firm has also revealed that the Poco C85 5G will be equipped with a 6,000mAh battery. It is confirmed to feature 33W wired fast charging and 10W wired reverse charging support. Additionally, the teased design of the phone suggests that the Poco branding will be placed vertically on the rear panel. The square camera module is placed in the top right corner on the back, too.

While most of the specifications of the upcoming Poco C85 5G are yet to be unveiled, the company recently teased that the handset will be equipped with a dual rear camera unit, featuring a 50-megapixel primary AI shooter. It is confirmed to be available in India via Flipkart in at least a purple colourway. Additional details, like the chipset, display, and pricing in India, are expected to be revealed soon.

Recently, a report highlighted that the Poco C85 5G has been spotted on the Google Play Console with the model number 2508CPC2BI. The smartphone will reportedly be powered by an octa core MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, which might feature two Arm Cortex A76 cores and six Arm Cortex A55 cores.

The SoC on the Poco C85 5G might deliver a peak clock speed of 2.20GHz. Moreover, the listed unit was spotted with 4GB of RAM and Android 16. It might sport a 720x1,600 pixel resolution display, along with a water drop-style notch to house the selfie camera.
