Sony WH-1000XM6 Wireless Headphones Review

  • Design / Comfort
  • Audio Quality
  • Battery Life
  • Value For Money
  • Good
  • Light and comfortable, foldable design
  • Smart magnetic carrying case
  • User replaceable earpads (no tool needed)
  • Excellent active noise cancelling
  • Good for voice calls
  • LE Audio support for gaming
  • Sound Connect app works well
  • Bad
  • No IP-rating
  • No USB listening
  • No aptxHD or aptxHD Lossless support

Sony's WH-1000XM-series have always been about delivering the finest possible audio quality in a wireless format. But (and this is a big one…) they have never been about delivering audiophile-grade sound. Instead, Sony (that claims to know its users well) has been more about delivering its signature and slightly bass-heavy audio that caters to the casual listener. Given its reception (and sales) Sony took its slightly bass-heavy sound profile in stride and added minor improvements seen in the last WH-1000MX5 headphones launched in 2022.

Sony Bravia Theatre System 6 Review

  • Design
  • Audio Quality
  • Value for Money
  • Good
  • Complete 5.1 surround system
  • Strong bass
  • Immersive sound experience
  • Clear dialogue
  • Virtualisation via Soundfield modes
  • Bad
  • No Wi-Fi or network connectivity
  • No up-firing channels
  • Rear speakers need power and proper placement
  • Bulky subwoofer occupies floor space

Sony's Bravia Theatre System 6 arrives as a full 5.1-channel home theatre package, soundbar, subwoofer, and rear speakers, all bundled into one box. Sony positions it as a premium all-in-one solution that avoids the hassle of mixing components. In India, the system is priced at Rs. 49,990. It is also advertised as offering 1,000W power output. Given its specifications, features and bundled hardware, the Bravia Theatre System 6 steps into territory more expensive than simple soundbars, but still attractive compared to building a discrete 5.1 system. The question is, does it deliver on performance, convenience, and immersive sound to justify its ask? Let's find out in this review.

Sony WF-C710N True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Earphones Review

  • Design / Comfort
  • Audio Quality
  • Battery Life
  • Value For Money
  • Good
  • Good ANC
  • Decent battery life
  • Comfortable fit
  • Bad
  • No advanced Bluetooth codec support
  • Sensitive touch controls

Sony launched the WF-C710N true wireless stereo earphones in India in July, featuring active noise cancellation (ANC). In addition to ANC, the new earbuds offer touch controls. They succeeded the WF-C700N model introduced in 2023. While the WF-C710N introduces a few upgrades over its predecessor, Sony has also retained several core features and continued its no-nonsense design philosophy of the preceding earphones. At Rs. 8,990, are the WF-C710N the best ANC earphones for you? Let's break down their strengths and shortcomings in this detailed review.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Review

  • OpenCritic
  • MetaCritic
  • Good
  • Thought-provoking, emotional story
  • Stunning visuals and setting
  • Social gameplay systems
  • Evocative music
  • Strong cast of new characters
  • Bad
  • Excess of tools and technology
  • No added depth to action
  • Server connection issues

When Death Stranding came out in 2019, it split players down the middle between those puzzled and frustrated by the sparsity of its design and the ones enamoured by the same pared-back approach to gameplay. Some, expecting a moody, action-adventure game about shooting ghostly creatures, saw Death Stranding as a “walking simulator”. Others knew better than to expect the expected and were left surprised by the game's stubborn commitment to its identity.
