Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series comes in multiple colours
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro price in India have been revealed. Samsung also announced that pre-bookings for the new smartwatches will start on August 16. The South Korean company launched the Galaxy Watch 5 series globally alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 4, the Galaxy Z Flip 4, and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro at the Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this month. The Galaxy Watch 5 series looks to compete with the likes of Apple Watch Series 7 smartwatches.
As per a communication from Samsung, the newly-launched wearables — the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro — can be pre-booked on Samsung.com and across leading online and offline retail stores starting August 16. The Galaxy Watch 5 price in India starts at Rs. 27,999 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro price in India starts at Rs. 44,999.
Galaxy Watch 5 (40mm) Bluetooth-only model price is set at Rs. 27,999 and the LTE version carries a price tag of Rs. 32,999. The 44mm Bluetooth-only version is priced at Rs. 30,999 and the LTE version will be available for Rs. 35,999.
The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (45mm) Bluetooth-only version costs Rs. 44,999 and the LTE version gets a price tag of Rs. 49,999.
The Galaxy Watch 5's 40mm variant will be available for purchase in Graphite, Pink Gold, and Silver colour options. The Galaxy Watch 5 44mm version of the wearable is launched in Graphite, Sapphire, and Silver colours. Consumers can avail Rs. 3,000 cashback from all leading banks on the purchase of the smartwatch. Similarly, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will be available for purchase in Black Titanium and Grey Titanium colours. Interested customers can avail Rs. 5,000 cashback from all leading banks.
Furthermore, those who pre-book the Galaxy Watch 5 series can purchase the Galaxy Buds 2 at a price of Rs. 2,999. Customers will also be eligible for easy finance options and get up to Rs. 5,000 when exchanging their old device. Samsung says that customers can either claim cashback or exchange bonus.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 runs on Wear OS 3.5-based One UI Watch 4.5. The 44mm variant sports a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display with 450x450 pixels resolution. The smaller 40mm variant gets a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display with 396x396 pixels resolution. The smartwatch features a new Samsung BioActive sensor that tracks heart rate, SpO2 level, and stress level. There is also a temperature sensor. The Galaxy Watch 5 has an IP68 rating for dust and water (5 ATM) resistance.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro runs on WearOS 3.5-based One UI Watch 4.5 and sports a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display with 450x450 pixels resolution. It features a Titanium case with a D-buckle sport band. You get the same BioActive sensor and temperature sensor as the non-pro model. The Pro model also comes with Track Back feature, allowing hikers, mountain bikers, and others to track their marks back home or from where they started their journey.
