iQOO 15R is set to launch in India next month, iQOO confirmed in a X post and media invite on Tuesday. The upcoming iQOO smartphone will be available for purchase in India through Amazon. The iQOO 15R is believed to come with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display and a 7,600mAh battery alongside 100W wired fast charging support. It is expected to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.
The launch of iQOO 15R will take place on February 24. iQOO and the company's India CEO, Nipun Marya, teased the launch date of the new phone through their X handles. The official teaser reveals the rear design of the phone in a white shade.
If we look at the teaser image, the iQOO 15R will come with a dual rear camera setup. It appears to have a square-shaped camera module with rounded edges, similar to what we saw on the iQOO 15. It will be available for purchase via Amazon.
iQOO 15R Specifications (Expected)
The iQOO 15R previously popped up on the Bluetooth SIG, Geekbench and SIRIM databases with model number Vivo I2508. The listings suggested that the handset will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, Android 16 operating system and 8GB of memory.
The Vivo sub-brand is expected to bring the iQOO 15R as a rebranded version of China exclusive iQOO Z11 Turbo. If the rumours about rebranding are indeed true, then we can expect the iQOO 15R to ship with a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with up to 144Hz refresh rate, a dual rear camera unit, including a 200-megapixel primary shooter and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. It might feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera and a 7,600mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging support.
The iQOO 15R could offer an IP68 + IP69-rated build for dust and water resistance. The handset is likely to pack up to 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 onboard storage. The iQOO Z11 Turbo was launched in China earlier this month with a starting price tag of CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 35,999) for the base variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model.
