Honor Magic 8 and Honor Magic 8 Pro were launched in China on Wednesday. The latest additions to the Magic series come in four colour options. They are equipped with Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, along with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of built-in storage. They ship with MagicOS 10, which is based on Google's Android 16 operating system, and are equipped with a triple rear camera setup. The Honor Magic 8 Pro carries a 7,200mAh battery, while the Magic 8 model has a slightly smaller 7,000mAh battery.
Honor Magic 8 pricing starts at CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs. 55,000) for the 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage model. The 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB variants are priced at CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs. 59,100), CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs. 61,600), and CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 67,800), respectively. It is offered in Velvet Black, Snow White, Sunrise Gold, and Azure Glaze (translated from Chinese) colours.
The Honor Magic 8 Pro is priced at CNY 5,699 (roughly Rs. 70,200) for the 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage model. The 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB versions are priced at CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 73,900), CNY 6,199 (roughly Rs. 76,400), and CNY 6,699 (roughly Rs. 83,000). It is released in Velvet Black, Snow White, Azure Glaze, and Sunrise Gold Sand (translated from Chinese) shades.
The newly introduced Honor Magic 8 Pro runs on MagicOS 10, which is based on Android 16, and sports a 6.71-inch 1.5K (1,256×2,808) LTPO OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 6,000nits HDR peak brightness. It runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of built-in storage.
For optics, the Honor Magic 8 Pro has a triple rear camera unit, headlined by a 50-megapixel 1/1.3-inch primary sensor. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 200-megapixel 1/1.4-inch telephoto camera with an f/2.6 aperture, 3.7x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. The device includes an AIMAGE Honor Nox Engine and is claimed to deliver CIPA 5.5 image stabilisation.
For selfies and video chats, the Honor Magic 8 Pro has a 50-megapixel front-facing camera. It also includes a 3D depth sensor. Honor says the handset has IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
Connectivity options available on the Honor Magic 8 Pro include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS/AGPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou, NFC, OTG, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, Infrared remote control, gyroscope, gravity sensor, colour temperature sensor, proximity sensor and X-axis super linear motor. It boasts an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
The Honor Magic 8 Pro packs a 7,200mAh cell with support for 100W (wired) and 80W (wireless) fast charging. It measures 161.15×75×8.32mm and weighs 219g.
Honor Magic 8 features the same SIM, software, selfie camera, IP ratings and chipset as the Honor Magic 8 Pro model. The standard model features a 6.58-inch full-HD+ (1,256×2,760 pixels) display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 6,000nits HDR peak brightness.

This handset also features a triple camera unit, which comprises a 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 64-megapixel super night god telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. It also includes a 50-megapixel wide-angle front camera.
Connectivity options on the Honor Magic 8 are similar to the Magic 8 Pro model, as are the built-in sensors. The Honor Magic 8 houses a 7,000mAh battery with 90W (wired) and 80W (wireless) fast charging support. It measures 157.12×74.03×7.95mm and weighs about 205g.
