Tech companies have been trying various ways to reduce their carbon footprints over the past decade or so, whether it is using eco-friendly packaging and recycled metals in their products, or even powering their manufacturing and assembly lines with renewable energy. We've seen some drastic attempts to reduce e-waste in the smartphone segment, as many manufactures have stopped bundling accessories such as chargers with their products. Acer has recently pushed itself to produce “greener” devices, and the result is its new Vero line of laptops. The Acer Aspire Vero was the first laptop to be announced back in December 2021. This is what we'll be reviewing today, but the company has also recently expanded its Vero line to include more laptop models, mini PCs, a monitor, a wireless mouse, and some accessories.

The Acer Swift series is the company's line of premium thin-and-light laptops, and today we'll be checking out the latest Acer Swift X model, which launched in India in September. The Swift X is special because Acer has managed to pack a powerful AMD CPU and a discrete Nvidia GPU inside a 14-inch laptop body measuring only around 18.8mm in thickness. It's a power-packed machine for sure, with great portability, but with prices starting at Rs. 84,999, is it good value? I've been using it for the past week and this is what I think.

Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Acer is best known for its computer hardware, particularly laptops and desktops. However, the company has tried its hand at different product segments over the years, including smartphones, tablets, and even televisions. What has remained common across its core range is a focus on value for money, with Acer's offerings usually priced competitively. A very recent new category in its product range is personal audio, and one of the company's latest products is the Acer True Wireless Earphones (GAHR010).
