Indian television brand Vu only recently launched its Cinema TV range in India, which we praised for the sheer value on offer. That television series features support for the Dolby Vision HDR format, and runs on the Android TV platform, at prices starting well under Rs. 30,000. While we'd have expected Vu to sit back and wait a while before its next launch, the company is clearly in no mood to hit the brakes.
We are often asked for television recommendations, and it's getting harder to justify why someone should spend big bucks on a major brand in India. There was a time when the best features and performance were strictly the domain of premium TVs, but the budget segment has since defied such expectations. Today, many brands offer affordable televisions with big 4K screens, smart connectivity, and support for HDR. Indian brand Vu has gone a step further with the Cinema TV.
Xiaomi might have brought some hype to the affordable television industry in India over the last couple of years, but Indian television brand Vu has been selling affordable TVs since long before the Chinese company even made its entry into India. Vu typically offers big-screen, feature-filled televisions at affordable prices, giving traditional brands such as Sony, Samsung, and LG a run for their money.
