Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G has been launched in India as the latest addition to the Chinese smartphone maker's tablet lineup. The new tablet was unveiled in India on Tuesday during an event in New Delhi, which also witnessed the debut of the Redmi Note 15 5G. The new Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G, which is offered in two colourways, will be available for purchase in the country later this month via the company website. It boasts a 12,000mAh battery. The Xiaomi sub-brand has equipped the tablet with a 12.1-inch display.

Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G Price in India, Availability

Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G price in India starts at Rs. 22,999 for the Wi-Fi-only variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. The same configuration with Wi-Fi + 5G connectivity costs Rs. 25,999. Lastly, the Wi-Fi + 5G model of the new tablet, featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, is priced at Rs. 27,999. The company is also offering an instant discount of up to Rs. 2,000 on credit cards of Axis Bank, SBI, and ICICI Bank.

The new tablet from the Xiaomi sub-brand will go on sale in India on January 12 via the Xiaomi online store. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G is offered in Silver and Grey colourways.

Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G Specifications, Features

The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G runs on HyperOS 2, which is based on Android 15. The company promises five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. The tablet is equipped with a 12.1-inch 2.5K (2,560x1,600 pixels) display with up to 120Hz of refresh rate, 249 ppi pixel density, up to 360Hz touch sampling rate, up to 600 nits of peak brightness, Dolby Vision, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and 1.07 billion colours.

An octa core 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset from Qualcomm powers the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G, which is claimed to deliver a peak clock speed of 2.7GHz. The SoC features one prime core, three performance cores, and four efficiency cores. The tablet also features an Adreno 810 GPU, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.

For optics, it carries a single 13-megapixel camera on the back with an f/2.2 aperture. It also gets an 8-megapixel (f/2.28) front-facing camera for selfies. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G is capable of shooting up to 1080p resolution videos at up to 60fps.

The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G packs a 12,000mAh battery with support for 33W wired fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging. It supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4 for connectivity. The list of onboard sensors includes an accelerometer, a gyroscope, an ambient light sensor, a colour temperature sensor, an e-compass, and a hall sensor. It is 7.5mm thick and weighs about 610g.
