About Aave

Aave is an open-source protocol founded by Finnish programmer Stani Kulechov. Denoted by an icon representing alphabet A, it was originally launched as ETHLend in November 2017 but was renamed to Aave in September 2018.

Aave allows people to borrow and lend cryptocurrencies. While lenders can churn interests by depositing their assets for use in liquidity pools, borrowers can use the crypto as collateral for flash loans.

he cryptocurrency has a maximum supply of 16 million tokens and currently, over 14 million tokens are in circulation.
